Destiny decided to do something a little different with this interview. Instead of asking the same boring questions, she had real fans tweet real questions! Here's what Willie and Brian from Day 26 had to say about it all!
1. @1smoothnicca wants to know:
“Having a Billboard topping debut album, then pretty much
starting over, has it driven yal or taught you anything that will help you all
moving forward?”
B: I can honestly say that one thing
we have learned along the way is really appreciate each other a whole lot more
and understanding each others work and each others value. Day 26 is not Day 26 without all 5
members. Of course you know at one point
we went down to 4 but as you can see we are back at 5 cause its just not
right. That’s one thing we’ve all
learned to do is definitely appreciate each other.
2. @leonchestnut wants to know:
“How did playing out the early phase of your career on TV
affect your friendship and you personally?”
W: the only thing that I can say
about being on television is life has definitely changed forever. You can’t go anywhere and people not notice
you. I don’t know if it affects our
friendship. We’ve always been coo, we’ve
always seen each other as brothers. Even through our differences, family has
differences but its no big deal. It was
never anything that couldn’t be resolved; it never went over and beyond. I don’t really think TV had that much to do
with it. If anything, it just gave us a platform to be able to drop this
independent EP on tomorrow.
B: Yes tomorrow, which is June 26th, the day that
Day 26 returns.
3. @Joshua_the_gr8 wants to know:
“If you weren’t a musician, what would you be? “
B: I'd be a porn star. I would be a music exec, don’t get me wrong,
but id be a porn star…if I could. Beautiful women, you can have your way with
them! I’m playing im playing!
W: I would definitely still be in
the music industry. Id be an exec, probably running some company.
4. @Imcamquotes
wants to know:
“Willie, What is your opinion on the name "Chiraq"
being used as a nickname for Chicago?”
W: I hate it. Its stupid. It should
never be used again. Death of it. I want to shoot it in the face. Kill it.
People should come down here to Chicago ILINOIS is what its called. You can say
Chi-Town, Chi-City, we will take anything , Just don’t use my city as a war
zone. Because it eggs the younger guys
on and they continue. Like “oh yea, we Chiraq” I’m like no! your still stupid
cause you’re all dying!
5. @marlainadona wants to know:
“even though the deal with diddy didn’t work out the way you
originally planned, do you regret being on the show?”
B: We would never ever regret it.
That was a blessing.
W: Let me tell yal something. The
type of money that I have made from just singing alone would make this TV show
the Shiz-nit.
It gave me a platform. I can always work no matter what. I know how to make money from it. It’s been awesome. I can’t complain about it
at all. Cause you think about all the
years that I wasn’t on the TV show compared to the ones I was and then after I
think the pros out weights the cons.”
6. @_donna_draper wants to know:
“How do you maintain normalcy living such a highly
publicized life?”
B: I just keep my private life
private. That’s mine, that’s not for
everybody. So basically what I do when I’m not doing day26 business is my business. Its sad that sometimes the media tries to pick and pry into a person’s private life. Especially with
kids. I be reading the blogs , and you know with little blue and north , and
sometimes people act like they don’t have hearts cause they say whatever and go
in on these little bitty babies! So I
just keep my private life private.
That’s the best way. You can say
whatever you want to say about me but don’t talk about my private life.
7. @_logotti
“What’s your most memorable performance?”
W: over in London, in 02, that was
the most amazing show to me because , we came out, performed at the top of our
game,….we had people fainting and falling over each other, crying. It was just one of those experiences like if
I ever had a Michael Jackson experience that was my Michael Jackson
experience. It was just over the
top. You looking in the audience like,
im looking at you , you looking at me, then you just pass the fuck out.
B: I was overseas for my birthday,
and the entire crowd sung me happy birthday while the rest of the fellas
brought out a cake for me. I had no idea
that was gonna happen.
*SIDE NOTE:
After mentioning that I was in Indianapolis, Brian told me
he loves it in Indy, because we have beautiful women here! That shocked me
because it seems like women here don’t get much credit from celebrities when
they visit the city so BIG UPS to BRIAN for recognizing! Haha !
