We caught up with Ms. Whitlock
today just to see how 2014 is treating her so far!
She has new projects
coming out and wants everybody’s support! Here’s what she had to say:
Hey girl! I
know it’s been a little while since we last talked! What’s been going on?
Yes, it has been. I thank you all
so much for inviting me to come back. I can honestly say life since we talked
has been a whirlwind for me lol! I’ve just really been throwing myself into
work. I feel like God has some great things planned for my career and myself in
2014.
How was
your New Years Eve? Did you do anything fun? Romantic even?
I actually brought it in at church
with my brother and mentor. We had an awesome time. I attended a church called
The Fountain Of Praise with Rev. Remus Wright in Houston, TX. I truly enjoyed
the service; glad I was invited. Romantic...definitely not. I can say the
people I brought it in with made sure I enjoyed it.
What was
your New Years Resolution?
You know, honestly I didn’t make a
New Years Resolution. I used to make them when I was younger. Now life has just
taught me to go with the flow. I didn’t necessary make a resolution, I just
vowed to make it a great year in any aspect that I can. Another thing I did say
that I really wanted to work on was my TIME MANAGEMENT lol!!...Anyone who knows
me knows that is truly a struggle I have lol!
Have you
been sticking to that resolution so far?
I know I’m failing at that already!
LOL I can say that I have TRIED really hard, but so far I have missed a flight,
and lets just say I have been rushing lol...but hey everything takes time right?!?
I saw the
trailer for that new movie Welcome to Yesterday! I didn’t know you were in that
girl!
Definitely
going to go see it now! Tell the people when it comes out, what its about etc..
Yes I do have a role in this film.
Very excited about it, not for myself, but for the film as a whole, because I
absolutely love the storyline. Michael Bay, known for Transformers etc. who is
the producer is truly a genius. The film reminds me of a 1990s film being
produced in modern times. It’s about a group of children who find a time
machine and begin to explore with it, but things get a bit out of control. It’s
really a cool family film. It stars Sofia Black D’Elia, Ginny
Gardner, and Gary Grubbs, just to name a few.
Aren’t you
on your last semester of school? Congrats!
Yes I am. I am so happy, excited,
but more so very proud of myself. I chose to attend college right out of high
school, and when my career begin to take off as God has allowed it to many
thought I was going to drop out. I will admit at times it did become very hard
to juggle the two with traveling for shooting etc. and trying to keep up with
my classes etc. Then I remembered giving up was not an option, because
receiving my degree was a promise I made not only to myself but to my family as
well. Education is extremely important, it’s the one thing NO ONE can ever take
away from you.
Any shout
outs you want to give?
Id just like to tell anyone and
everyone who is pursuing any type of dream rather its acting or anything NEVER
GIVE UP, trials and tribulations will come but you must KEEP GOING, and never
ever let anyone tell you that you CANT because you CAN and you WILL...keep your
faith!!!!!...If you ever feel like you don’t have anyone’s support...you have
mines...GOOD LUCK!!!
