Foreign [Video] On Top

(HOUSTON, TX) -  Bred in Houston’s Studewood area but raised in the streets throughout H-Town's various wards, Texas artist Foreign has been making great strides in just a short amount of time. Building on the success of his song "Get This Money" that garnered radio spins in Texas, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Shreveport, Biloxi, Jackson, Augusta and New Orleans, Foreign returns with a new song called, "On Top." "On Top," was produced by Deemax and Valentine and isn't your typical rag to riches story, but will be somewhat familiar to a lot of people that come from the struggle and relate to Foreign's path to success.  In addition, the music video features guest appearances by Michael “5000” Watts and Brian Angel of Day 26. "When you’re looking and listening to my music, yea the audio goes hard, but the video takes you back to where I grew up. I took a half million dollars worth of cars back to the projects. Now that's a hell of a visual itself just to see it through my own eyes," Foreign explained.  "'On Top' is pretty much a sequel to 'Get This Money,' and when you see the video it's important to know that because we brought back some familiar characters from the first video." Despite the fact that Foreign has worked with some of Houston's top producers and artists, this street hustler turned rap upstart is currently focused on pleasing his fans.  "In all actuality I want to represent Houston with the movement that I grew up following, I want to rep my city in a familiar way so that people in my generation have something to rock with. We don't dance, we don't do the skinny jeans and that’s cool for those people, but that’s not where my background comes from," Foreign explained. The plan seems to be working as Foreign recently got some pretty big local co-signs and has a few labels interested in his talents.  One of the cosigns was from “Michael “5000” Watts who said, "S/O to @ForeignMusik remaking history in these streets.”  "Michael “5000” Watts gave me the co-sign recently and I’m in talks with some people at Cash Money right now, but we will see how this all plays out, right now I’m just focused on making my fans happy" he added.  For more info on Foreign Musik check out his social media sites below and contact the email listed below for all media, booking or feature inquiries:  foreignmusik@gmail.com

Khalil [Video] Quality Produced by Rex Kudo and Cashio

(Los Angeles, CA) - Island Def Jam signed talent Khalil drops off his new visual for "Quality" that will appear on his upcoming EP Misunderstood.  The project will also feature Fki (2 Chainz "Watch Out") and Rex Kudo (Post Malone "White Iverson") and Cashio. Khalil has a storybook tale of getting signed to a major label, as Khalil caught the attention of Def Jam as a young aspiring R&B artist in trying to be heard on YouTube. Khalil covered the oldies and from there learned about songwriting and making music.  "I'm used to sing Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway as a kid. Growing up when I was singing on the YouTube I was singing Frankie Lyman, Stacy Lattisaw, Tevin Campbell and a bunch of old school stuff. It's definitely inspired my writing process," Khalil said of his love of old school music.  While signed to Def Jam, Khalil would become good friends with soon-to-be international pop icon Justin Bieber, and the two began collaborating frequently and hanging out.  "Me and Justin met through a mutual friend and we also knew about each other with Def Jam. It was our first time meeting in Miami and we kind of vibed out and we ended up making music," Khalil said.  Last year the guys released  "Playtime," their first official collaboration together, and it's since garnered millions of views acrossYouTube and other platforms.  Now in 2016 a refocused Khalil has returned with a new dedication to writing his own material as he gears up for his first EP.  "I've been working on a whole new EP which features 'Simple' and 'Quality.' They are both singles that will be available on iTunes. I've just been working on the new EP and just finding myself musically, but most of the music on the new project I wrote myself, and I'm just trying to make better music," Khalil said of his EP. "When I first started posting music on Soundcloud I was doing a lot of stuff that people were writing for me, and other songs that people were giving me. I was always interested in writing but I never really sat down and took over the whole experience of the writing process. Rex Kudo and FKi, they have a producer camp and they kind of brought out a new sound for me and we just worked on the writing process."

The recent tracks are Teddie Cain's follow up to his ESPN 30 for 30 featured song in the documentary called "Benji" about the the tragic story of Benji Wilson also from Teddie's hometown of Chicago. Ain't nobody ever gave me nothing, I've been putting out music for years. I didn't ever get a deal, I had to grind and eventually started my own label," Teddie Cain Jr. said. Jean Lephare [Video] Survival

(New Orleans, LA) After signing with Jive Records as a young kid, Jean Lephare has been around the block when it comes to the music game. But after living in New York and LA during his stint as a Jive Records recording artist, Jean decided to take his talents back home to New Orleans where he successfully formed the infamous MonstaBeatz production duo with his cousin. The two would go on to produce for Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne to name a few and cemented themselves as some of New Orleans' most accomplished producers. Now Jean Lephare is stepping out on his own again as an artist, offering fans his debut project Toast now available on iTunes. "At that time we really just we really were just drinking champagne and smoking, just vibing and getting to know each other. It was cool at that time, you know during the How Fly mixtape days," he said. "Now I'm stepping out from the production side of things, even though we produced a few songs on the project," Jean Lephare explained. "This project has elements of what fans may find familiar with my sound because we come from that and we helped build that, but at the same time its an R&B project too, so it has more melodic stuff and more singing. It still has the rapping but its relying more heavily on the melodies." Switching from production to rapping Jean Lephare is kicking things off with his song "Survival" produced by BlackTheBeast. The video is directed by Romano & Plex with the help of Jon Auguste and shows Jean Lephare in a natural setting exploring the Trinidad island. "I got a Curren$y record thats really cool and 'Drive Slow' is one of my favorites. It was the bonus track on another project but I had to make it official and put it on my album. I gotta give it some justice," Jean said. "I was DJing this event and judging a showcase in Trinidad and I wanted to tap into their culture, they got a lot of talent over there. I was there for two weeks and I was just like let me shoot something. Its really natural, everything is real, not actors, interacting with the real people. It was the slums but they embraced you."

Redd Cold Hearted [Video] Ice

21 Salute Ent’s flagship artists Redd Coldhearted serves up another visual from her highly anticipated debut project “Coldhearted”. This track is titled “Ice” & here we get a glimpse of how the “Want To” MC possibly finances her extravagant lifestyle. Redd & her crew pull off a diamond heist. The camera switches between Redd spitting braggadocio flows and giving orders to her all-girl 21 Salute contingent, who secure the goods thanks to a little inside information and a bit of gunplay. Not too over the top, Redd’s raps have a strong ring of authenticity, especially when we notice Young Thug & rising star Duct Tape Ent artist Trouble making cameos along with the highest ranking members of the Duct Tape army. Redd Coldhearted is the female voice of the streets of Atlanta. Check out “Ice” for proof.May 12

@IamBlis - F U Money

(Los Angeles, CA) Getting his start in the Midwest and residing in Los Angeles, St. Louis bred rapperBlis got his start doing music when he was 10, but he didn't really take music seriously until he graduated high school. After not relating to a host of the "bling bling" era rapper, Blis sought to give fans a look at life through his more realistic lens. Contrary to how the music industry has traditionally pitched artists, Blis hopes to give fans a view of life from a regular guy's perspective in the Midwest. "I was taking money at my job and putting it back into the music and working this job that me and my co-workers were so sick of working. We just didn't have a voice and there wasn't a union. We couldn't speak up because we would get fired so we would talk about it every day and I just felt trapped," Blisexplained. Amidst losing his father Blis abruptly quit his job and recorded this song in response to the troubling few months he'd recently endured. "I was so frustrated from the job that I quit. Afterwards I was so relieved I made a song about it. It was a way for me to speak for my old co-workers, and to vent. I justwanted to bring attention to the situation and I'm happy I could speak my truth and people were receptive, the response has been crazy,"Blis explained. In the mean time Blis has released a vlog for his "F U Money"track that you can watch here: "F U Money Vlog." The vlog breaks down the story behind his new song and path he's taken to prepare for his upcoming releases. For more information on Blis, keep up with him via the social media sites below! Up Close and Personal with Rashia Whitlock! Star From the Film Bolden!

Hey Rashia, Its been a while since we last talked! How are you!? Why haven’t we seen you in so long!!!

Thank you, yes it has been awhile. I'm actually good really in a good place and blessed. Yes I took about 2.5 months off. Being in this industry can sometimes be extremely hard and it can take tremendous toll on you and sometimes you just need to stop, breath, and take some time to your self. You know? Kind of do some self reflecting, reevaluate some things, and really figure things out. And that's what I did. It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I just got back to work in March and I feel so refreshed, brighter and just excited even more now about this journey!!

Tell us whats new career wise. Any new projects coming up?

Yes my new film Bolden should be out in a few months. It was set for a November release but the studio pushed it back a few months. It's the biopic of jazz legend Buddy Bolden who studied under Louis Armstrong. It has a great cast myself, Yaya Decosta, new comer Gary Carr who plays Buddy and a a few others. My role in this film is really going to surprise many so I'm very proud. There are two more things in the works that I'm excited to be apart of but for contract reason I am not allowed to disclose...but I'm ready for the world to see.

Ok well we might as well jump right in!

There has been so much stuff going on in the entertainment industry lately; from K. Michelle and Angela Ye to the Nick Young and D’Angelo Russell situation. Things have gotten crazy! Im sure you have heard about the whole Kehlani Kyrie Irving suicide attempt situation. A lot of people don’t have sympathy for her because they felt like she did it for attention by posting the picture online. What are your thoughts on the power of social media and the effects of cyber bullying?

You want my honest opinion? Social media is the devil. During my hiatus, I also took a break from social media. Social media has become a major barrier for many meaning they use it to boost their confidence, judge and bully others behind a screen because they know the other person can't do anything to them. Its made people communicate less and I really have come to not like social media very much. If it wasn't for my team being on me about it I wouldn't be on it at all lol. Cyber bullying within itself is a major issue and social media helps it!! It goes back to other being able to judge, and bully someone behind a screen because they know there's really nothing the other person can do about it. I guarantee if some of these cyber bullies would be seen in public they wouldn't say half of the things they do.

A lot of people don’t feel empathetic for Kehlani, calling her an attention whore and selfish for wanting to take her own life.  Have you ever had to deal with the suicide of a friend or family member and how did you recover from that loss?

It's so funny I was just discussing this with someone. I found out about it a day after she did it. After reading I honestly don't think she did it for attention at all. I see a 20 year old young girl making normal 20 year old mistakes but the difference is like the rest of us she's in the public eye so for whatever reason as usual many think "she's not human". The rest of the world has to understand we're human and make mistakes just like anyone else. She admitted to her feelings and expressed why. Many are so quick to judge someone going through depression or a time Iike Kehlani is and really don't even know what that person is going through. Depression is extremely real and hard to deal with. I can publicly say that is part of the reason for my hiatus I fell into depression. From experiencing it first hand, and now being out of it it's extremely hard to battle and many different emotions all at once. Fortunately I haven't known anyone to pass away because of suicide, but I have come in contact with others who had the thought. I don't want to turn into a bishop here lol but My advice to anyone going through anything of that nature is to seek God and trust that he will get you through.

Ive been seeing you involved in a lot of fashion events. Fashion shows and red carpet events.  How would you describe your style? Do you want to get into fashion one day? In what way? Modeling or designing?

Yes I have been!! As a kid I loved fashion and now as I grow in my career I'm finally realizing how deep my passion for it is. I would describe my style in three words Rashia, Classy, and chique. I like different pieces so that's why I said Rashia. I love to look and feel like a beautiful goddess and really like a young classy woman. I think I'm already heading to getting "into" fashion. Funny you asked about modeling. I was so against it in the beginning of my career only wanted to do strictly acting. Here lately my team talked me into getting into a few modeling things to test the waters since they think I'm "photogenic" and I actually have to say so far so good I like them!! As you can see here in the new spread with you guys.

We all know that you and Joc aren’t together anymore, but are you guys still friends? We thought you two made such a cute couple!

(Laughing) Aww thank you so much. Yes many thought Jasiel and I were a very cute couple. Since separating  I haven't spoken to him in a few months. He's a great guy, but sometimes things just don't work out when two people are on different paths. I believe we'll always remain friends and I wish him nothing but the best.

Who’s the new guy in your life? We saw you at the superbowl with hearts and stuff!

Wouldn't you like to know..lol but right now I am SINGLE!!! I do have a few friends and that one in particular I did support him on his big day. Honestly right now I'm not looking for or wanting anything serious. Since coming back to work I'm extremely focused on my career and just really building my brand.

What are some hobbies or yours? What do you like to do outside of acting?

You know this is so hard for others to believe but when I'm not working I'm usually at home. I'm such a home body I like to snuggle up on the couch in leggings or sweats and read or watch television. Outside of that I like to go kart, and SHOP. I don't party much, not really my style lol.

Who would you work with if you had the chance to?
I would say Dihann Carrol. She's truly the reason I got into acting. She's so versatile and others like her, Ruby Dee, and Cicely Tyson did so much in their time to pave the way for us African American actresses in today's society. I work very hard to make sure their not disappointed in any way.

What genre is the hardest to cover for you?
I actually don't know, I would say maybe comedy because I haven't had the chance to do any work involving comedy yet.

What character have you played that was really difficult for you? And why? How did you overcome that obstacle?

I don't want to give out to much yet but I would say my character In "Bolden". When I received that role my work in there required for me to do something I've never done before. I was so glad I got to tackle that so early on.....you'll just have to wait and see.

Unfortunately, we are out of time but we would love our fans to be able to interact with you via social. Where can they find you

[Audio] Chicago's Jamahd - Section

(Chicago, IL) Raised in the suburbs just out side of Chicago, producer/rapper Jamahd has been working on the perfect beat for the past year, developing his sound and building a fan base for his upcoming project, Y'all Gone Wish I Was Dead. Jamahd has high hopes for this project as his last single "Slowdown" received posts on The Source, Boi-1da.net and AllHipHop to name a few. Studying the game, Jamahd is looking to focus on a few singles for the next year, ultimately leading up to the release of the videos and his debut EP. While the EP is yet to be titled, Jamahd is also working on spreading his production sound with up and coming rappers in Chicago. "The past month I've been really looking at the game. Southern acts really push a song and then when the song takes off they shoot a video. So the goal right now is to just push the record right now. Other acts have done it so, I just want to focus on a record and gaining momentum." Jamahd explained. To build up to the release of the EP, Jamahd will be releasing a mixtape through various outlets called Y'all Gonna Wish I Was Dead this Summer. While attending school at Columbia College in Chicago, Jamahd worked towards a degree in Audio Design and Production, and plans to focus on audio engineering and his music career when he graduates

Rossini [Audio] Ferragamo feat Trap Main

After a short break from music due to a health scare and legal issues, Rossini is releasing his new track "Ferragamo" with the full support of his CTE family. The track is the follow up to his duo work with Boston George that included work with Rich Homie, Yo Gotti and Scarface to name a few. In the song Rossini talks to the streets about how to really make it out and how to really hustle. "Everything has changed, from being 100 in the streets. I see it on the news, I see it in the hood and with people that I interact with on a day to day basis. It went from everyone hustling to everyone wanting to get high and everyone wanting to take and run off on the plug," Rossini explained. "I didn't come from that background and to me the plug is everything, so this tape is called 'That Work.' The streets are struggling, can't nobody tell me 'bout this, and nobody can talk this shit like I talk it, this is what I know. I gotta talk to these n*ggas that's on the same page with me."

@MokaBlast [Audio] Blow A Stack

(South Jamaica, Queens) - Bred in a Trinidadian family in South Jamaica, Queens up and coming rapper Moka Blast is reppin' NYC in the truest of forms. With punchlines and hard hitting beats Moka Blast preps for his Blast Radius project that will be dropping in April/May 2016.

"This is actually my first album as all I have ever done was release singles and drop mix tapes. It’s time I cement my legacy as I want to leave an established body of work for people to appreciate when it’s all said and done," Moka Blast explained.

"I grew up in an era where Lloyd Banks & Fabolous were destroying it. When you said something real slick that made people go crazy. I loved being in cyphers. When I got my chance I would drop nothing but punch line after punch line just to see the looks on other rappers faces. It became addicting," he added.

In support of this record Moka Blast will be heading overseas to Turkey and Dubai for performances and networking opportunities at which point he will come back stateside for further promotion.
