Rashia Whitlock a new contestant in the Dancing With the Houston Stars charity event!

Ok So a little birdy told us you’ve been chosen to be a contestant on Dancing with
The Houston Stars this year! Congratulations! Can you tell us a little bit more about that?
Yes every year Houston does their own version of Celebrity Dancing with the Stars. Where they select different local celebs around the city and ask us to participate. It’s a really awesome event. It is sponsored and put on by a local dance company, Urban Souls Dance Company,

How did you come to be involved in this?
I actually had a friend who participated a few years ago, so I did already knew a little about the event. When I found out it was to help raise money for a foundation I most definitely agreed to be a contestant.

Who is your partner?
I was blessed to have an awesome partner!! He’s participated in the event before and has won TWICE!! He’s a professional dancer, Leonard Price who is actually from Houston! Awesome guy and we have been having so much fun prepping for this!!

What do you want to accomplish by participating in this charity event?
I want to accomplish my goal of raising the $2,000 dollars that each contestant has to raise for the event, and also to teach others just because you cant do something don’t necessarily opt out of doing it. I am NOT the best dancer but still decided to give it a try, because it’s a way to raise money for a great foundation!

What style of dance do you want to do?
I don’t have a specific style, but I will say I want to do something that will be TOTALLY unexpected!!!

Describe your own personal style of dance...
Well because I’m not the best dancer I don’t really have a personal style. I’m actually very goofy when it comes to dancing and usually when a song comes on that I really like, I start to lip sink it and act like I’m in a concert.... weird I know lol!

How can people help support you?

YES PLEASE PLEASE support and donate you guys ANYTHING WILL HELP!!!!

photo kptfucktheworldtour_zps8106946a.jpg KPT is a musician from Cleveland, OH. His start in music came at the young age of 13 in choir class. He said his “choir teacher asked me and Draft P1ck (Draft Pick) to rap at the end of the show, and they did. From then on, he was hooked on rap and performing. His first recording was at a friend’s house on a RadioShack microphone and the rest is history. Since then, he has been passing out music and mix tapes for seven years. His influences in music come from all genres. From hip hop to country to Indian music, he truly is passionate about energetic performances and raging on stage, but says he listens to everything from Kid Rock to LeAnn Rimes. He takes his hyped-up performances from Tupac, but also took note from Bob Marley and The Beatles for their crowd-pleasing shows.KPT has performed throughout many cities in order to reach fans he might have never gained before. Taking control of his music and creativity is what really has evolved KPT as an artist throughtout the years. KPT started FAM Entertainment in late 2012 which supports artists such as “Draft P1ck” and “CZ”. The company is still under development but will create a strong back-bone structure for KPT in the future.

What is your favorite color of socks to wear?
Lol to be honest I don't like socks much unless I have to wear them, but when I do they have to be colorful or pink socks.

What's your favorite place to eat?
My favorite place to eat is a Fellini's pizza. It's a pizza place in Atlanta and I absolutely love it!! I love pizza but it has to be the real type of pizza like New York, Italian style pizza.

Were you bullied as a kid?
Actually by the grace of God no I wasn't bullied as a kid. I think it was because I was so friendly, and had an outgoing personality most people got along with me.

If you were given a chance, would you enter Big Brother?
I actually don't know if I would be on big brother or not. I don't have a major problem with reality shows, but I'm not sure about how I would feel about the cameras following my every single move lol.

What are your favorite shows to watch when you have downtime?
Believe it or not lol my favorite show to watch when I have down time is my favorite all time sitcom A Different World. I absolutely love that sitcom and anytime I have downtime I catch it on TV one, and I also have the DVDs of the seasons. I also love Scandal lol.

What music is playing in your car right now?
In my car right now, I actually have Jazz playing but I love old school music, slow jams, jazz music, pop music and gospel. My favorite artists are Sade, Monica and Angela Winbush. My favorite song is Tender Kisses by Tracie Spencer.

Name a your favorite book and tell us a little bit about it.
My favorite book is a book called Sitting in the Front Pew. It's about a group of sisters who's father dies, and when they have the funeral they find out they have another sister, that their father secretly kept from them. It's really good! I could read it again.

What is your favorite daily wear attire?
My daily wear attire is anything that I think is cute or how I'm feeling that day. Like today I didn't want to really leave the house so I have on flip flops, a cute hate, a cami, and cute sweat type of pants.

Boys or shoes, which do you prefer most?
Hmmmm...this is a hard decision lol, it depends on what type of mood I'm in lol. That's a dilemma...I'm going to render it a tie.

Who according to you is the best dressed man in Hollywood?
Right now I would say Micheal Ealy. I love his style!! I think whatever he wears compliments him very well. I love classy, and laid back looks and he always brings that out.

Tell us something about your newest project
My newest project is another timepiece. It's entitled "Along The Dirt Road". I'm very excited about this project, such an amazing cast and I absolutely love the story line. It's a love story that takes place in the South, in the 1950s and 60s.
